Friendship

she awoke, and the morning frost was shimmering like a sea of diamonds
she's as excited as a flower about to bloom!
They will be reunited
And she hopes, she dreams, she wishes that...

They will run, leaving their footprints in the snow, laughing
and dance on the soft white powdered
they will dream,
and let their happiness overwhelm
Just like the old times.

Her friend will be the sun, as she brightens the day
her friend will be as comforting as a mother's caring heart
they will play,
And let their imagination grow and grow
Just like the old times.

Their friendship is like a canvas, which started blank, then flourished over time
And as they stand there, looking at each other
Their smiles glow, like a striking ray of sunshine
And they know...
It will be just like the old times.

Feelings After A War

It's over, It's all gone
But she hasn't yet gotten out of the darkness
For those whom she lost, she cries
Her tears fall over her cheeks like a fretful stream over boulders
The pain is like a wave crashing through her soul
For it's the pain of losing her loved ones
she's lost, like a sailboat drifting to the sea

Everything is destroyed,
Her home has vanished
She's alone, stuck in the shadows of the war
Fear crawled inside her head and burrowed itself inside her subconscious
She is afraid,
Her fear is a burden, it weighs heavily on her

She's glad it's over
No more people suffering
But she is a worn out ship
One that has been thrown around by waves before finally crashing

It's over, it's all gone
But not completely all the way
You see, the fighting and killing might be gone
But the scars, the wounds, the heartbreaks
the lost…
It will continue living within her
these are the wounds of war

Tommy's Homework

Hey guys!
This is basically a children story/poem I wrote, and it's called Tommy's Homework.
In a way, I was being a hypocrite when I wrote it because it was my last-minute English  homework. I had *completely* forgotten about it and only remembered it when I heard a girl mentioning ' the poem for English class ' literally five minutes before class would start. So, I had to write a poem within five minutes and this is what I managed to come up with:

Tommy is a good obedient kid-sometimes.
The thing is, he never does his homework!
One day,
When the teacher asked for it, he said:
" I did my homework, Mr. Jay!
But it got up and flew away!
I chased it down the river,
and all the way to Grandville Valley,
It even flew into the Grand Alley!
I ran and ran, but couldn't quite catch up
In the end it flew into my Granny's house and got covered with ketchup!
Pal, granny's dog, likes ketchup, you see..
So he took my homework and ate it all up! "
Mr. Jay responded:
" Okay, Tommy.
Well, listen,
I was going to give you an A,
But it also flew away!
I tried to chase it,
but I'm too old, you see
So I gave up, and let the wind take it away..."
Well, there isn't much more I can say, so.. Happy random reading! <3 :D

The Seasons

From summer I have learned that every shower is followed by vibrant rainbows arching across the clear sky
the sunlight is always shining
and you can either choose to slow down and smell the roses
Or skid by and miss all the beauty
In summer, you can start brand new
|But in the end it's up to you.

From autumn I have learned that things change
the leafs will fall,
and the earth will amend,
Things will differ,
But the new colors
and the new way of life,
they carry just as much beauty
in autumn, you can become better
just as long as you're not bitter

From winter I have learned that after the storms
and the cloudy, dark days
there will be crystal rays of sunshine.
The snow is like a white canvas
and its left blank for you to paint
to make it as colorful, and as bright as you want
because underneath the emptiness and the dimness,
there's always a light just waiting to break through

From spring I have learned that things can always come alive
And that the true beauty cannot hide
The flowers will blossom
the trees will grow,
The birds will croon,
And it could all happen real soon

Each season is waiting to teach you a lesson
Open up your eyes and see it through
Life isn't easy,
But the great thing is...
You can always start brand new
